Anthoney use to be the person in the in the gym that went to every machine and just moved the weights around. He had no knowledge of proper mechanics or how to program a workout. A few years later, one of Anthoney's friend led him to a job where he introduced Anthoney to an old school Marine that his friend worked out with. Anthoney's first week at his new job, the guys showed Anthoney their workout. Twice a day dragging chains, flipping, and hammering tires at 10 am and lifting heavy weights at noon was when Anthoney started his journey into fitness. Fast forward a couple years and his love for strength training led him to a inevitable path of injury. For 3 years he was lifting weights, not paying any mind to the rate at which he was developing muscular imbalances. He wanted bigger biceps, six pack abs, and to bench press heavy weights was his downfall. One of his lifting days his shoulder popped... soon after pain started to kick in. for two and half years, he was not able to touch any weights with out shoulder pain. A new path of fixing muscular imbalances within himself and led him to teaching others the importance of proper form. Now equipped with great understanding of biomechanics, metabolic functioning, and nutrition, he can move better and feels stronger than ever!
Being curious about changing variables with exercise and nutrition, led him to find new ways to get the body to respond. He has experimented with various diet protocols, fitness programs and different styles of training. Finding enjoyment in all activities, he wanted to perform any activity without previously playing it and perform it at 100%. His philosophy is that everyone is different and should get a individualized plan for their own unique goals.
Outside of strength and conditioning, Anthoney enjoys bouldering, traveling, and country dancing on the weekends. He feels time is the only thing we can't control, but we can control what we do with our time. He spends a lot of time researching and learning new cutting edge information about all things health and fitness related. He says the most important time is spent with his wife and pup on all of the adventures life offers.
